Kscope's annual POOL PARTY is quickly approaching. For the 2nd year in a row, the Walsh Family (thank you guys!) are hosting this potluck event.

Where: Dan Walsh's house (308 Hill Rd. Harrisville, RI)

In Memory

As some of you already know, ALICIA MCLEAN (29), mother of Breanna (Wendy Mouse and Sleepy for us onstage this summer) passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, July 22, 2010.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 am from the R. A. IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., Coventry with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 60 Pleasant St., West Warwick. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Monday 5-7 pm. Alicia loved purple flowers. At the request of the family, if you wish to send flowers, kindly send lilacs, purple hydrangea or any purple flowers to remember Alicia in a special way. In Memory

JOHN ABELA, 39, of Manhattan and formerly of E. Greenwich, died suddenly June 18, 2010 in New York.

He was the son of Kathleen P. Abela-Steimle and the late John P. Abela and step-son of Karl Steimle. He is also survived by his life partner Hubert Comtois, a sister Stephanie Hansen, a brother Michael Abela, a step-sister Michelle Steimle (Barry Wood, Jr.), a step-brother Brian Steimle (Nicole Llomas) and nieces and nephews Matthew, Caitlyn, J.P., Mikey, Mallory and Brea Mae.

John worked for Kaleidoscope during the 1980s and played a variety of roles, including, Aladdin.

Upcoming Kaleidevents

So... Here are our upcoming events!

* Tap Night continues tonight and will run every Thursday (5-6:30pm) from now through the end of the summer. We're also thinking of doing a beginner night in the fall if there's enough interest. Let us know if that's something you'd like!

* Sunday, August 8th, 2-5pm = POOL PARTY! This will be a potluck food event at Dan's house in Burrillville. As we get closer, please RSVP and let us know what you'll be bringing.

* Saturday, August 14th, 4pm = Pocahontas. This is a free performance of our musical at the Roger Williams Memorial in downtown Providence. Our performance will be followed by a Waterfire, so it should be a great time. No RSVP necessary, but bring a blanket or folding chair because the show is outside.

* Sunday, August 22nd, 1-5pm = End of Summer SHINDIG. Kscope will provide pizza for this event and popcorn for the movie showing of Disney's Pocahontas 2. We will also be distributing summer 2010 cds, our joke awards, and playing games like whoonu and blokus.  Again... please RSVP so we know how much food to get!
