JOHN ABELA, 39, of Manhattan and formerly of E. Greenwich, died suddenly June 18, 2010 in New York.

He was the son of Kathleen P. Abela-Steimle and the late John P. Abela and step-son of Karl Steimle. He is also survived by his life partner Hubert Comtois, a sister Stephanie Hansen, a brother Michael Abela, a step-sister Michelle Steimle (Barry Wood, Jr.), a step-brother Brian Steimle (Nicole Llomas) and nieces and nephews Matthew, Caitlyn, J.P., Mikey, Mallory and Brea Mae.

John worked for Kaleidoscope during the 1980s and played a variety of roles, including, Aladdin.
